Define what each package delivers

Record generator output at the required purity and booster inlet conditions. Distinguish the generator’s delivery pressure from the final discharge pressure. The booster supplier should state acceptable inlet range, temperature, gas quality and capacity basis. Ensure that both quotations use compatible standard-volume definitions so apparent capacity agreement is not created by different reference conditions.

Review demand changes and available buffer

The booster may demand gas differently from the separation package’s production profile. Evaluate controls and any receiver used to moderate that mismatch. Buffer volume can support a transient but cannot correct sustained underproduction. The engineer should assess pressure-vessel requirements, isolation and control behavior for the proposed arrangement rather than adding storage without a defined function.

Coordinate trips and restart permissions

State what the booster does when inlet pressure or nitrogen quality becomes unacceptable, and how the generator responds when demand stops. Separate normal modulation from protective shutdown. Agree responsibility for instruments at the boundary and the test of combined behavior. A successful standalone test of each package does not prove that the connected system will respond correctly.

Consider startup, changing demand and an interrupted supply as separate operating states. State which instruments establish that gas is ready for release and what the system does when a reading is unavailable or outside the accepted range. Keep analyzer verification and maintenance access part of the design. Nitrogen quality control and safe gas handling are different responsibilities; the owner must also provide the appropriate ventilation, isolation and work procedures for the site. Assign the boundaries clearly when the generator, booster and end-use equipment come from different suppliers.

Apply the review to the offered nitrogen generation truck

The compressor, feed-air treatment and separation package must jointly meet the nitrogen requirement. Specify whether downstream high-pressure delivery is included. Retain the purity-specific flow basis and the analyzer release criteria with the quotation, including assumptions about ambient and feed-air conditions.
